I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe prospective sellers should understand my experience. If you choose to work with Ashley, I recommend establishing clear expectations for communication, marketing and regular updates; carefully reviewing all listing information, including inspecting photos for quality and the listing for accuracy before listing; and asking direct questions about representation, including Idyllwild Realty's dual agency practices and commission expectations.My disappointment resulted from the poor management of expectations and negotiation effort on our behalf, to the cumulative experience of a limited and mostly dismissive communication style, inaccurate marketing, having to repeatedly advocate for the property’s presentation, including the quality of the photos as well as the listing description which was unimaginative, incomplete and inaccurate. I have completed 13 real estate escrows during the past 10 years and have 40 years of business experience managing teams and properties. I have fairly high but reasonable standards, which Ashley knew from the beginning. I believe clear communication, accuracy, attention to detail, professionalism and basic courtesy are reasonable expectations from someone entrusted to manage one of your largest assets. I found these traits were sorely lacking, during the entire process right up to the end, when I received a text which simply read," Congrats." Not, "thank you for your business" or anything further. Not quite the level of professionalism or gratitude I expected for the $16,000 commission she received.

Ashley took initiative to add a showing to my two requests and it turned out to be my new cabin! She worked swiftly and we closed escrow without a hassle. It was a quick transaction, but Ashley answered all my questions, knew the area and the market and made the process effortless. She even helped me get rid of some of the large items left behind by the seller. I would definitely recommend working with Ashley if you are looking for a place in/near Idyllwild.

Zero stars! Our experience with Ashley was highly unprofessional. We toured a rental property but decided not to sign the lease after learning that 24 units share only two washers and dryers. With a baby on the way, this lack of available amenities was a dealbreaker. When we politely informed Ashley of our decision, she told us we were "blacklisted" from her agency and could never rent from them again. This reaction felt incredibly harsh and uncalled for, especially since we never signed a contract and had already paid an application fee. As she manages the majority of rentals in Idyllwild, her refusal to work with us effectively ended our search to live locally. My partner now faces a daily commute, adding unnecessary expense to our growing family. She should have handled this professionally by offering to help us find a unit that better suited our needs.

Ashley did an excellent job in selling our house. She provided great service and was responsive to all of our needs. Our house was in a family trust with a reverse mortgage. Even with that she was able to navigate a smooth sale. I would recommend Ashley Stewart for any realtor services.
